Envision Lead Grow is a non-profit organization on a mission to provide economic empowerment services for women and girls from historically excluded communities through programs that increase equity, ownership, entrepreneurship, scholarship, and investment. We believe that little girls with dreams become women with vision, and we are committed to helping girls build their futures through entrepreneurship by creating a community to support their success. We offer a 4-Tier program at no cost to our girls or their families. First, the girls attend our interactive entrepreneurship sleepaway camp, where we walk them through the fundamentals of starting a business. At the end of camp, girls pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges, and the winning venture receives $500 seed money for her business. Since 2016, we have served over 3,000 girl bosses across the country. POSITION SUMMARY: Counselors directly lead a small group of girl bosses (10) throughout the course of the immersion week. The girl bosses range from 6 th grade to 12 th grade. Counselors go through a full training day as well as an online training course before Summer Immersion begins, so they can feel prepared and trained to lead them well and facilitate activities. Counselors are responsible for tracking the participation and improvement of girl bosses each day through surveys. These surveys must be submitted each evening (Monday-Friday) by 11:59 AM. At the end of the week, Counselors will write a short letter to the parents of the girl bosses on what their child learned and how they can encourage them in their business endeavors at home. Each counselor is responsible for leading a "Choice Time" activity. This can be any activity ranging from arts and crafts to spoken word to outdoor sports-whatever hobby or passion you would like to introduce to the girl bosses. Counselors leading choice time must submit their week long curriculum prior to the Mandatory Training date.
