The 2024 Valet Bike Parking season is here! Sign up at localmotion.org/volunteer. Help make biking safe and easy for our community by volunteering with Local Motion to provide free bike parking for everything from festivals and concerts to food trucks in the greater Burlington area. Valet Bike Parking volunteers staff the tables, park bikes, and engage with customers about biking and Local Motion. We rely on volunteers to make this free parking service successful and continue its important work making it easier for people to bike around town.
Volunteers are often provided with free access tickets to the event they are working, including some awesome music shows at the waterfront this year!
Plus! Volunteer hours with Local Motion are eligible for City Market member-worker credit! If you are a City Market member and have attended a member-worker orientation, your hours can translate to a discount on groceries! Learn more at https://www.citymarket.coop/member-work

Mission Statement
Making it safe, accessible, and fun for everyone to bike, walk, and roll in Vermont.
Description
Local Motion Inc. is a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working statewide to make it safe, accessible, and fun for everyone to bike, walk, and roll in Vermont. Our vision is that more people will walk, bike, and roll in Vermont for both recreation and transportation, improving their health while benefiting local communities and the environment. The most important work we can do is continue to identify and reduce barriers, create opportunities, and provide resources so that every Vermonter and visitor has equitable and safe access to biking, walking, and rolling, while also being sensitive to the needs and desires of local communities. Our work is roughly divided into three categories: Education, Advocacy, and Services.
