Welcoming Home (welcominghome.org) fully furnishes the homes of the formerly unhoused using community donations. We need Home Lead volunteers who would be responsible for coordinating the furnishing of one apartment. This would involve:
Attending an initial visit with the individual/family to determine needs and preferences, with the help of other volunteers.
Vetting proposed furniture donations for quality and style by reviewing pictures or contacting donor.
Making sure all the needed furniture/household good donations are secured.
Supervising the setting up of the apartment on Welcoming Day, with the help of other volunteers.
