ORGANIZATION: WOMENS SOCIETY OF CYBERJUTSU

The Women's Society of Cyberjutsu is a 501c3 National Cybersecurity Community for HER. We provide hands-on training to women and girls to help them enter and advance in cyber security. We are seeking a board Treasurer to help move the organization forward and build sustainability. We have been around since 2012 and have worked with thousands of women!

Responsibilities

Financial Management:

  • Oversee budgeting, accounting, and reporting activities.
  • Collaborate on annual budget development and monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance.
  • Provide regular financial updates and reports to the board.

Financial Planning and Strategy:

  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations.
  • Evaluate financial viability of initiatives.
  • Manage financial risks and implement safeguards.
  • Advise on financial best practices.

Fundraising and Grant Management:

  • Works with ELT to develop and implement fundraising strategies.
  • Identify potential funding sources, including grants and donors.
  • Assist in grant proposal preparation and tracking.
  • Ensure proper utilization of grant funds.

Board Engagement and Collaboration:

  • Participate actively in board meetings.
  • Collaborate with board members and stakeholders.
  • Engage in board committees and represent Wevise externally.

Requirements

  • 10-15 hours per month for the first three months, then 5-10 hours per month thereafter
  • Demonstrated financial management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles and accounting.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit governance and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Passion for Wevise's mission.
  • Proficiency in financial management software/tools (Quickbooks and Google Sheets/Excel).
