Recruiting Organization: Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe

Our refugee family summer camp needs volunteers in to help with safely transporting refugee parents and youth to and from their homes and our camp running Tuesdays & Thursdays June 24th - July 25th (No camp 7/4). Morning drivers are needed 8:15am-9am, and afternoon drivers from 2pm - 3pm.

The camp will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1100 Montaño Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107. Family home locations will vary.

This family summer camp for resettled refugee families in Albuquerque offers a variety of interactive educational lessons and activities for both parents and youth of all ages. Classes/activities include ESL for adults and kids, reading/literacy for young children, arts and crafts, computer classes for adults and teens, financial literacy, nature classes, gardening, wellness classes (mental health, yoga, tennis, healthy living for brain and body, and sports activities), and videography for teens.

Volunteers for transportation have to be 21+yrs. Must have a valid driver's license; access to a vehicle that is roadworthy/reliable; and possess auto insurance that meets the state minimum requirements.
