Recruiting Organization: Women's Money Matters

WMM builds the financial literacy, confidence, and security of low-income women in Massachusetts, through a unique program that combines instructional workshops and personal, one-to-one coaching. Volunteer coaches serve as personal mentors.

You don't have to be a finance expert to be a coach. All you need is the desire to help a woman in your community make the most of the money she has.

As a volunteer coach, you'll provide ongoing, one-on-one support for your client - and we'll support you in that effort. As a start, here's a summary of what we ask of our coaches:

- A genuine interest in and commitment to working with low-income women.

- Strict confidentiality of all clients financial and personal information.

- A commitment to your participant (90 minutes every other week).

- Participation in a one-hour coaches' orientation.

We are currently looking for coaches for our day time program with DTA, and our Saturday program! Both programs run for 12 weeks, and it is okay if you have to miss a session or two.

Financial Futures Collective

• Our signature Financial Futures program empowers participants with coaching, financial wellness workshops, community and peer support, and resources to feel more confident to manage their finances.

Financial Futures Collective in partnership with DTA Works

• Starts: June 16th, 2024
• Thursdays 11am-12:30pm EST
• Virtual, English
• Our signature Financial Futures program in partnership with the Department of Transitional Assistance Works program combines our empowering financial wellness program with DTA’s paid internship work program. The women in this program are training in new career fields, while receiving benefits and stipends, in order to pave the path to a better future for themselves and their families.
