We've been growing fast and are looking for 5 more people to join our team! Volunteers help us plan fun, meaningful events for individuals and families impacted by diabetes in Central Florida! We develop leaders, so you don't need experience in order to join.

Here's those brief descriptions of what we are looking for:

S.W.O.R.D Team (Yes, a Marvel ref.): S.W.O.R.D Agents look out for our families by developing meaningful programs that help them to feel confident and supported with diabetes. This role is perfect for you if you are or want to be a leader in your community and can give up to 3 hours per week of your time.
Positions we are filling:

• Event Coordinator: Plan meaningful monthly events for our families
• Marketing Team: Help create inspiring and educational social media content on our pages
• Volunteer Coordinator: Help organize volunteer opportunities, and recruit and train new volunteers
• Athletics Program Director: Plan and run empowering dance and sports events for children with diabetes and their siblings
• Grant Writer: Help write and apply for grants to keep our programs free for families

S.H.I.E.L.D Team (can't have S.W.O.R.D without S.H.I.E.L.D!): S.H.I.E.L.D Agents are our protectors during our monthly events! This role is perfect for you if you have a busy schedule but would like to volunteer once a month or when you're able to.
Things you can choose to be in charge of:

• Helping children and adults participate in planned event activities
• Leading events and helping us stay on time
• Supporting families by doing activities with them
• Welcoming and signing attendees in for events
• Setting up and taking down event materials and decorations
