At Minds Matter Colorado, we know that you want to make a difference. You see the world around you and you know you can make it better, you’re just looking for a clear way to make that impact.

What you may not know is that only 1 out of 4 low-income Colorado kids will go to a four-year college.

If you think that's shocking and unfair, we agree. We believe in a meritocracy -- hard-working kids should succeed and income shouldn't matter.

Here's how you can make that difference: (1) Invest in our students, (2) Stay engaged in their journey, and (3) Watch them head to college. The MMCO program is a 2 - 3 year committment where you're matched with 2 high performing high school students to support them through the MMCO program and onto college!

Apply to Mentor a student now or join an upcoming virtual info session to learn more.

About Minds Matter Colorado

Location:

1391 Speer Blvd, Ste 710, Denver, CO 80204, US

Mission Statement

Minds Matter connects driven and determined students from low-income families with the people, preparation, and possibilities to succeed in college, create their future, and change the world.

Description

What We Do: Our approach is pretty simple. We recruit accomplished students with undeniable potential to participate from their sophomore through senior years. We then pair them with a cadre of passionate, intelligent, dedicated volunteers who mentor the same two students for three years until graduation. We hold weekly after-school sessions during the school year focused on academic readiness (writing, critical thinking, communication, community leadership) and college preparation (summer programs, SAT prep, college and financial aid applications).
