We are thrilled to invite you to volunteer at our 3rd Annual Ice Cream Social - Cones (& Cups) For Kids on July 28th at the iconic World’s Fair Pavilion in Forest Park! Join us as we celebrate Healthy Kids and Families in our community.

Enjoy unlimited tastings from local ice cream vendors, family activities with Craft Alliance and the Magic House, face painting, a drum circle, a bubble booth, an obstacle course, and many other fun activities!

Our dream of Celebrating Healthy Kids with an Annual Ice Cream Social began as a way to offer NFN families a day of fun, sweet treats, and community. We also extend this invitation to the entire community to join in the festivities! The Ice Cream Social not only brings families together but also helps raise awareness about NFN’s mission. Partnering with the community allows us to continue delivering healthcare services and resources to at-risk babies and families in Missouri.

Nurses for Newborns (NFN) provides critical services through our Home Visiting Program to babies and families facing a range of medical, economic, environmental, and social challenges. Our mission is to ensure every newborn has a healthy start, parents and caregivers have access to support and resources, and every baby has the chance to thrive.

It takes a village to raise a child, and together, we can give them their best chance to thrive!

About Nurses for Newborns

Location:

3 Sunnen, St. Louis, MO 63143, US

Mission Statement

Nurses for Newborns exists to provide a safety net for families most at-risk to help prevent infant mortality, child abuse and neglect through in-home visits that provide healthcare, education and positive parenting skills.

Description

Hundreds of babies in our community suffer from health problems, neglect and malnutrition that can be prevented. That prevention is the purpose of Nurses for Newborns Foundation. Every year since 1991, the foundation has sent registered nurses into the homes of high-risk, low-income families to assess the health of these newborns and provide care. The nurses also provide parent education and help with other needs, including those of single mothers who may be isolated and desperate for help in caring for their babies.
