Volunteers Needed for Disaster Dash 5k!

Are you ready to kick off hurricane season?

BRACE is hosting our first Disaster Dash 5k run/walk on June 15th, we need your help to ensure it runs smoothly. This disaster preparedness themed 5k will be a family friendly event. There are many volunteer opportunities available before and during the event.

Pre-Race Needs

Office Volunteers (6/10 & 6/11)

• 10 am - 3 pm

• Assembling packets, bags, organizing shirts by sizes

Packet Pick Up (6/14)

• - Shifts available: 12 pm - 4 pm & 3 pm - 7 pm

• 3-4 volunteers per shift. 1 Bib person, 1 Packet person, 1-2 shirts/floaters

• Positions:

• - Packet Person - Will be giving out race packets at the table.

• - Bib Person - Will be given after the packets.

• - Shirts Person - Will be getting shirt sizes and pulling the shirts for runners.

• - Floater - Will be assisting where needed (helping pull shirts or assist with the flow of the line)

Race Day June 15 th : volunteer needs , please contact us for more information on these positions.

• - Signage volunteer - 2 volunteers requested

• - Registration table - 3 volunteers requested

• - Hydration stations - 8 volunteers requested - mile marker 2 and finish line area

• - Course route volunteers - 10 volunteers requested

• - Clean-up volunteers - 4 volunteers requested

• - Disaster Zone Volunteers- 4 volunteers- help with BRACE table and other Vendors - setting up as well.
