Position Title: Caregiver/Family Support Hospice Volunteer

Location: Serving Communities Throughout Ohio (Central Ohio, Dayton Region, and Toledo Region)

Organization: Care360 Hospice

Position Summary:
We understand that the journey of hospice care extends beyond the patient to encompass their family and friends as well. We are seeking caring individuals to join our team as Caregiver/Family Support Volunteer, offering essential and practice support to families navigating the challenges of end-of-life care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and companionship to family and friends of hospice patients
- Assist with light household tasks, meal preparation, and errands to alleviate daily stresses
- Offer respite care, allowing family caregivers to run errands themselves (2 hours maximum is required of volunteers in 1 visit)

Requirements:
- Compassionate, empathetic, and respectful demeanor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle emotionally challenging situations with sensitivity and care
- Flexible schedule to meet the varying needs of families
- Completion of hospice volunteer orientation and onboarding procedures
