Job Overview:

As a Cyber Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify and assess cyber threats and vulnerabilities. You will play a critical role in providing actionable intelligence to stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies and cybersecurity teams. This role requires a keen understanding of cyber threats, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Threat Intelligence Gathering: Collect data from various sources, including open-source intelligence (OSINT), dark web monitoring, and internal security tools, to identify potential cyber threats and emerging trends.

  • Analysis and Assessment: Analyze collected data to assess the severity and credibility of cyber threats, including malware, phishing attacks, and intrusion attempts. Utilize threat intelligence frameworks and methodologies to prioritize threats based on risk.

  • Incident Response Support: Provide support during cybersecurity incidents by conducting in-depth analysis of security events, identifying the root cause, and recommending mitigation strategies. Collaborate with incident response teams to contain and remediate security breaches.

  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare detailed intelligence reports and briefings for stakeholders, including executive leadership, law enforcement agencies, and cybersecurity professionals. Communicate findings effectively, both orally and in writing, to facilitate informed decision-making.

  • Threat Hunting: Proactively search for indicators of compromise (IOCs) and suspicious activities within the organization’s network environment. Use advanced threat hunting techniques to identify and neutralize potential threats before they escalate.

  • Continuous Monitoring: Monitor external threat landscape and industry-specific developments to stay abreast of new cyber threats, attack techniques, and security vulnerabilities. Provide recommendations for improving the organization’s cyber defenses based on emerging threats.

  • Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams, including IT security, risk management, and legal departments, to enhance cyber intelligence capabilities. Share expertise and best practices through training sessions and knowledge sharing forums.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  • Proven experience or interest in cyber threat intelligence analysis.

  • Proficiency in utilizing threat intelligence platforms, security information and event management (SIEM) systems, and other security tools for data collection and analysis.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to dissect complex data and extract actionable insights. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Splunk) is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat actor methodologies, and attack vectors. Knowledge of common malware families, exploit techniques, and cyber defense strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to integrity and professionalism.
