Administrative Intern for Jacksonville Youth Works, Inc.

Position Overview

Jacksonville Youth Works, Inc. (JYWI) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Intern to assist with day-to-day operations. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit administration, enhance organizational skills, and make a positive impact on the community.

Responsibilities

  • Data Entry: Maintain and update databases with accurate information.
  • Communication: Assist in responding to emails, phone calls, and other inquiries.
  • Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of events and programs.
  • Documentation: Prepare and organize documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Office Management: Assist with general office tasks such as filing, scheduling, and supply management.
  • Social Media: Help manage and create content for JYWI’s social media platforms.

Qualifications

  • Current college student or recent graduate majoring in business, nonprofit management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A 501c3 non-profit organization geared towards helping at-risk (at-hope) Youth between the ages of 14 -25 years old to become productive members of society. We are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for at-risk (at-hope) youth. Through innovative literacy programs, mentorships, and Youth Workforce Development Training and Job Placement, we aim to empower young individuals ages 14 to 25 years old to thrive and succeed in life.
