BECOME A SCIENCE EDUCATION LEADER - JOIN THE SOUNDBIO LAB BOARD OF DIRECTORS AS OUR NEW SECRETARY OF EDUCATION AND OUTREACH

Take on a leadership position within our education team and within the whole organization. Help to guide and support all of our education and outreach programs, creating accessible and inclusive pathways to science.

ROLE SUMMARY:

• 15 hours per month volunteer commitment. A few fixed meetings but otherwise flexible when and where you do that work. You will need to be able to occasionally come to our lab space in the U-district.
• Your one fixed responsibility would be to keep minutes at education committee meetings but otherwise you will shape and lead your own projects, or take on an existing project or program. In addition you will have a significant role in shaping our strategy and creating unique science education offerings in the Seattle area.
• Preference for applicants who have a background in science or education. But not a requirement. Passion and commitment are the most important criteria.
