GovRise, is a non-profit organization registered in Togo and has its headquarters in Lomé.

Conducting research and studies, advocating for better decision-making, implementing and evaluating performance are GovRise means of action through the execution of its strategic plan.

Its goal is to work for the full development of Least Developed Countries (LDCs), including Togo, and for the transformation of economies, based on better management and protection of the environment as well as social and human cohesion. This goal is achieved by contributing to the improvement of local, national, regional and international governance in a manner that is both holistic and specialized in different departments through an interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary approach in order to provide better solutions to complex problems.

Based on an innovative, complementary and unified conception of governance that is both formal, technical and human, we aim to enable, through our services, a convergent and common understanding of governance which facilitates better internal interaction at the level of each actor and between different actors, while making people the main goal of development.

GovRise needs support in Web designing and digital communication for its public presentation and for its different projects implementation.

The work is performed on free basis. However, people who commit, have the opportunity to contribute to setting up an organization with high and strong added value while enriching their professional experiences. A minimum of three hours of commitment per week is required for zoom meetings when needed, and work is carried out according to each one schedule while strongly considering compliance with deadlines or appointments. Work may be performed from everywhere.

Role

The Web design and digital communication officer reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible of the creation and management of digital content as well as the management and improvement of the website design. Works with a variety of different platforms, including websites, social media accounts, blogs, email newsletters, and more, to create compelling content that engages audiences and drives the organization goals.

Additionally, writes blog posts or emails to inform the public of news about the organization or services, creating announcements to run on social media sites, or designing a website or an application interface.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve the GovRise website design;
  • Establish communications goals and objectives for each campaign, including identifying target audiences and determining outreach methods;
  • Develop creative concepts and digital texts;
  • Coordinate with internal departments or public relations to develop a campaign strategy and identify target audiences;
  • Develop the communication strategy, creation of the concept or design and implementation;
  • Create an online presence for the organization through social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube;
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of online campaigns using metrics such as click-through rates and conversion rates;
  • Manage the creation of content for a website or blog, including writing blog posts, creating infographics or designing web graphics;
  • Establish and manage relationships with the public;
  • Create a digital communications strategy that aligns with the organization's overall objectives.

Profile

  • A Master's degree in IT, in Marketing Communication with solid knowledge in Web designing, IT, Digital marketing and communication or related field with at least five years of relevant experience in the relevant field;
  • Experience in digital communications, including content development, digital donor strategy, digital advertising, website development, management, design, and search engine optimization;
  • Positive attitude, proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and commitment to promoting and strengthening diversity and inclusion;
  • Ability to perform tasks using the highest level of confidentiality and discretion in sensitive matters;
  • Demonstrated excellent writing, verbal and presentation skills with clear and articulate communication that can easily translate complex technical ideas, including drafting documents intended for different audiences;
  • Be agile and able to work autonomously, collaboratively and flexibly within a team to achieve objectives, with creativity, innovation and inventiveness while remaining objective and efficient in compliance with principles, norms and standards;
  • Proactive in spontaneously making proposals for better directions;
  • Be guided by the vision and mission while being focused on the goal, objectives and results, and always open to learning more, in complementarity;
  • Demonstrate integrity and loyalty.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Good commend of both French and English.

GovRise is an early-stage organization which aims to be a non-profit with high and strong added value as a start-up. Following a Master of Advanced Studies in European and International Governance at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, the idea to create a non-profit organization to contribute to the governance improvement germinated in 2021, and GovRise was registered in 2023 with the Ministry of Territorial Administration, Decentralization and Local Administration, in Lomé, Togo.
