Position Overview:

We are seeking an inspiring and visionary volunteer to join our team as the Executive Director. This is an extraordinary opportunity for a passionate leader to steer a dynamic non-profit film production company that is committed to social impact and cultural transformation. We require a minimum commitment of 15-20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans that align with Six Feet Film’s mission and vision, driving growth and ensuring sustainability.
  • Fundraising and Development: Spearhead fundraising initiatives, including grant writing, donor engagement, and cultivating partnerships to secure financial support for our projects.
  • Program Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of film projects and community programs, ensuring they meet our standards of excellence and impact.
  • Team Management: Lead and inspire a diverse team of staff, volunteers, and collaborators, fostering a culture of creativity, inclusion, and innovation.
  • Advocacy and Outreach: Represent Six Feet Film in public forums, media engagements, and at industry events, advocating for our mission and expanding our reach and influence.
  • Operational Management: Ensure efficient and effective day-to-day operations, including budget management, compliance with legal requirements, and the optimization of organizational resources.
  • Board Development: Assist in creating and developing a robust board of directors to support and guide the organization.
  • Remote Work: Comfortably manage responsibilities and collaborate with the team remotely, being an integral part of the core team.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for Storytelling: A deep appreciation for the power of film as a medium for social change and cultural connection.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within the non-profit sector or film industry.
  • Fundraising Expertise: Demonstrated success in fundraising and development, with strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to think strategically, balancing vision with pragmatic execution.
  • Excellent Communicator: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative Leader: Experience in managing teams and fostering a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
  • Time Commitment: Ability to volunteer a minimum of 15-20 hours per week.
  • Board Development: Willingness to help create and develop a board of directors.
  • Early-Stage Non-Profit Experience: Comfortable working with an organization in its early development stages.
  • Remote Work Capability: Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, maintaining strong communication and collaboration.
