We are in need of caring individuals to become hospice volunteers and visit with terminally ill patients in Naperville. Volunteers make a difference in the lives of patients by providing companionship, comfort, emotional support and a friendly presence. Engaging with patients may include activities such as reading to a patient, listening to music together, taking a person in a wheelchair outdoors, being a supportive presence as a veteran is honored, or simply being a good listener as a patient reminisces. We deeply appreciate the work our volunteers do!

We provide full training and ongoing support, and most of the training can be done in the comfort of your home. We are flexible with volunteer hours, and our volunteer coordinator will be with you at your first patient visit.

  • Must be at least 18
  • Flexible, generally 2-4 hours per month. We ask for a minimum of 6 months of volunteering. Volunteers can choose visit times.
  • TB test and screen for illegal drugs. Testing is set up and paid for by Family Home Health Network.
