Moving Health is a 501c3 nonprofit with the mission of connecting families to healthcare when they need it most. How do we do this? We design, manufacture and implement low cost medical vehicles to bring access to healthcare to last mile areas. Our work is based in Ghana and focuses primarily on maternal health and emergency transportation. Our organization is female-founded, female led, and prioritizes the voices of women throughout the product development process.
Our team is looking for an interim Development Director to help with fundraising, prospecting, and strategic decision making. Your role will be to work with the CEO to identify, monitor, and research funding opportunities and prospects for Moving Health. Will work with leadership and program staff to develop funding proposals in line with Moving Health's strategic priorities, lead the writing and submission of grant proposals, work with staff to assure that all reporting requirements are completed, and assist the CEO in pitching to donors. Will track donors, reconcile ETapestry, and generate reports. This position will be remote 1-3 days a week. This has the potential to become a paid part-time or full time position after 6 months.

Mission Statement
To connect families to healthcare when they need it most.
Description
Since 2016, Moving Health (formally The Okoa Project) has been redefining emergency transportation by addressing geographically neglected areas to address the health crises that these communities face every day by providing opportunities for safer, faster emergency care. Unlike other companies, our primary goal is to use human centered design to create solution that the communities actually want, making our solution more sustainable, cost effective, and reliable than alternative options.
Our work fills a desperately needed gap by providing sustainable, low-cost emergency transportation in areas that do not have any. Not only do our ambulances save lives, but our intersectional approach to global health and technology allows us to capture our impact with precision and create opportunities through learning and innovation.
