Do you want to assist with patient care but you're not ready for Direct Care? Perhaps joining our Tuck In Team is just the opportunity for you!
Gentiva Hospice has a need for volunteers interested in helping with our Tuck In program which is designed to enhance communication between our patients, their caregivers and our staff. During a Tuck In call a volunteer would help to identify needs for supplies, medication and support. These calls can make a huge difference for patients, families and our medical staff! And it is all done by phone in our office during business hours.
Training is provided for this specialized service and calls are made following specific guidelines and scripts. Tuck In volunteers can help to alleviate the stress of an upcoming weekend for families and help clinical staff assure that a patients needs are met prior to the weekend!
