The Oasis mission is to promote healthy aging through lifelong learning, active lifestyles, and volunteer engagement. This position will lead walks up to 3 miles, assist in planning routes, and maintain an enjoyable walking experience for all participants.

Job Duties:

· Plans suitable walks and creates a basic walk description to be included in Oasis’ catalog.

· Check route and familiarizes oneself with route prior to leading the walk.

· Welcomes walkers and summarizes walking plan to ensure everyone is prepared.

· Facilitates at least one walk per year.

· Secures a leader who stays with slower walkers.

· Provides a positive walk experience and answers group questions.

· Ensures safety standards are met.

· Represent Oasis with respect and integrity as a volunteer.

· Attend meetings for volunteers annually.
