During Art Fair Off the Square, occasionally an artist will need to leave their booth to run to the bathroom or grab a bite to eat. We need volunteers to sit at their booth while they're away for a few minutes. During your volunteer shift, you'll check in at the information desk to find out what booths need a break and provide a necessary reprieve for our artists. Thank you for considering helping make this event a success.

Bottled water is provided, as well as a $5 stipend for transportation or parking.

About Wisconsin Alliance of Artists & Craftspeople, Inc.

Location:

2450 E MIFFLIN ST, MADISON, WI 53704, US

Mission Statement

The annual Art Fair Off the Square and Winter Art Fair Off the Square are the two juried fairs sponsored and produced by the Wisconsin Alliance of Artists and Craftspeople, Inc. (WAAC), a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation formed to promote and create contact between Wisconsin artists and craftspeople and the public. WAAC takes pride in having been created and operated by the artists themselves. Along with providing a market for exhibitors, we continue to educate the public about art and provide important one-to-one interaction between artist and buyer.

Description

The Art Fair Off the Square runs concurrently with the Art Fair on the Square (second weekend in July). More than 200,000 people are expected to visit downtown Madison during this two-day celebration of visual art, which has become a highlight of the summer season. The Art Fair Off the Square will be comprised of approximately 130 artist spaces.
