Envision Healthcare at Home is seeking volunteers who are interested in being pet therapy volunteers for hospice patients. Hospice patients are often lonely and enjoy having visits from volunteers and furry friends on a regular basis. Pet therapy volunteers must have certified therapy animals in order to volunteer. Volunteers visit their patients with their pets on a regular basis once a week or every two weeks. Hospice patients live either in their own homes or in nursing or assisted living facilities.

Hospice volunteers receive a training over the computer, must pass a background check and need to get a TB skin test.
