STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program that specializes in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.


Overview:

STEM Montessori Academy of Canada (SMAC) is seeking dedicated and responsible individuals aged 16 and above to volunteer as Donation Attendants. This role is crucial in supporting our fundraising efforts by managing and organizing donations, ensuring they are processed efficiently and effectively. The Donation Attendant will play a key role in helping SMAC deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application programs to students across Canada.


Responsibilities:

  • Receive and organize donations at designated donation centers or events.
  • Assist donors and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure donations are properly documented.
  • Collaborate with other volunteers and staff to maintain a clean and organized donation area.
  • Provide information to donors about STEM programs and the impact of their contributions.
  • Follow organizational guidelines and procedures for handling and processing donations.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the Volunteer Coordinator or designated supervisor.


Requirements:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a regular volunteer schedule.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for promoting STEM education and a commitment to the mission and values.

Other Information:

The volunteer requirement for this program is a commitment of a minimum of 4 to Maximum 5 hours per week beginning in June 2024. We have a lot of exciting opportunities including team leadership, management, supervisory, and VP positions
