What Volunteering at the Festival looks like:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are when the real pre-festival excitedment happens: moving gear and equipment from storage to the council grounds, tables and chairs are put into place, flags and banners are hung, equipment and gear are put into place, golf carts and gators are delivered, vendors and merchants are rolling in, and administrative duties are being finalized. It is action packed! And you can be a part of the excitement-

Friday evening: the front gate and festival store can always use some extra help!

Saturday- there is room at almost every festival activity for you. Get there by 9am to help with the parade, spend some time at the front gate greeting your friends, neighbors, hang out in the wee folks area and help with the kids crafts, help with the creators in makers alley, and the sellers in the market place by booth sitting while they grab a bite to eat or whatever they may need help with. There's an opportunity for everyone regardless of physical limitations.

Mission Statement

The mission of Friends of the Festival is the raising of funds for the production and funding of the Saline Celtic Festival and other events, activities and organizations benefiting the vibrancy of the City of Saline. Description

We would love to have you come and volunteer with us! We could not do this festival without our volunteers, who make it run smoothly.

On Friday night, July 7th, we have live bands, jousting, merchandise for sale, food and beer vendors. We are in need of help running our beer tent, our merchandise tent, and our front gate. Gates open at 5pm.

On Saturday we have all the same of Friday, but much, much more. Music, food, jousting, Merchandise, clans, ancient athletics, Wee folks (kids area), pipes and drums, highland dancing, textiles, and hisoric re-enactors. Help is needed starting early in the day and going till the evening.

We are thrilled to be able to host area service & community groups this year.

None of this would be possible without our wonderful volunteers. We are always looking for help in a variety of different locations.
