Project Details

Project Components:

1. Education and Mentorship: Veterans will serve as mentors, imparting knowledge and values to youth regarding the significance of uniform maintenance and readiness.

2. Uniform Preservation: Veterans will have the opportunity to either have their uniforms pressed or use them for the creation of memorials made from uniform materials symbolizing their service and sacrifice.

3. Hospice Support: Special attention will be given to veterans in hospice care, providing them with companionship, support, and opportunities for reflection.

4. Pinning Ceremony: The project will culminate in a formal pinning ceremony, where veterans will be honored and recognized for their service to the community and country.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Increased mindfulness and well‐being among participating veterans.
  • Enhanced understanding and appreciation of veterans' experiences among youth.
  • Creation of meaningful, tangible memorials preserving veterans' legacies.
  • Comfort and support provided to veterans receiving hospice care.

With a compassionate team dedicated to family-focused healthcare, we offer specialized care tailored to individual needs, whether at home, in a nursing facility, or assisted living residence.

Led by a medical director and comprised of nurses, aides, social workers, Chaplains and devoted volunteers, our interdisciplinary team provides comprehensive support. From nursing visits to emotional and spiritual guidance, we ensure patients and families receive the care they deserve.

Volunteers are vital to our mission. They provide companionship, support, and respite, offering comfort during challenging times. As we grow, we're eager to discover unique volunteer opportunities to further enrich our patients' lives.
