This long-standing Town of Apex event features games for all ages, inflatables, the Parade of Wheels, and a splash down from the Apex Fire Department! Use this form to express interest and a seperate email with shift availability will be emailed to you.
Schedule of Events
9:00 am: Flag Raising & Speech from Mayor Gilbert
9:15 am: Activities begin (inflatables, food vendors, face painting, karaoke, carnival games, and more!)
11:30 am: Parade of Wheels Line up
12:00 pm: Parade of Wheels Begins
Volunteer Duties & Your Impact
Volunteers will assist with festival set up, break down, and Parade of Wheels bike registrations. You are welcome to sign up for as many shifts as you would like during the event but please be sure that your shifts do not overlap times.
Work Environment
This event will be completely outdoors, so please be prepared for all weather. We hope to have a large crowd join us and there may be amplified sound from entertainment providers. Set up and clean up shifts require the ability to carry up to 20 pounds. Bathrooms are available in the Halle Cultural Arts Center and food trucks will be on site.
Requirements
Ages 14+. Volunteers under 18 will be prompted to have a parent signature on the waiver and release form when signing up for a shift.
Other Instructions
Please wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes. We will provide water, snacks, sunscreen, and bug spray. First aid will be available on site if needed.
