This summer, the Latino Community Center is looking for incredible adult volunteers for its SOY (Supporting Our Youth) Summer Camps, in East Liberty and McKeesport. It is preferred that volunteers are bilingual in English and Spanish, but we can work with all language skills. High energy, able to move around and play with students, interest in program themes (arts, sciences, sports, playing, nature exploration, engineering, music). - SOY Summer Camp 2024- McKeesport
- Dates: Starts June 10th, ends August 2nd Monday- Friday
- Volunteer hours:Full shift: 9:00-3:00PM or 9:30-3:30PM & Partial shifts: 9:00-12:00PM, 11:00-2:00PM, or 12:00-3:00PM
- Location: Francis McClure Elementary
- Age group: 5-11
- SOY Summer Camp 2024- East Liberty
- Dates: Starts June 17th, ends August 2nd Monday- Friday
- Volunteer hours: Full shift: 10-3PM & Partial shifts: 10:00 -12:30PM or 12:30 -3:00PM
- Location: Latino Community Center in East Liberty
- Age group: 11-14

Mission Statement
The mission of the Latino Community Center is to empower, advocate with, and celebrate Latinos in Allegheny County.
Description
The Latino Community Center is a small, but growing, nonprofit organization that was established as a 501(c)3 in April of 2017. The LCC was established in response to the needs of the growing population of Latinos in Allegheny County, and the needs and desires expressed within this community for supports within and around education, community resources, newcomer support, and more. Programming at the LCC includes bilingual after school programs, high school college and career readiness programs, a Welcome Hub for newcomers, community engagement events, connection to local resources, and more. The Latino Community Center, through all that it does, strives to ensure that all Latinos in Allegheny County are valued and have equal and equitable access.
