Join us in our mission to promote literacy!
The Simi Valley Public Library seeks dedicated tutors to provide one-on-one support to learners. Tutors help adults improve their reading and writing skills so that they can improve their lives in areas such as self-esteem, employment, family life, and community involvement.
Tutoring takes place in-person at the Simi Valley Public Library, located at 2969 Tapo Canyon Road, Simi Valley, CA 93063.
As a tutor, you will be:
- Trained to provide free one-on-one reading and writing instruction.
- Paired with an adult learner.
- Expected to commit a minimum of two hours per week.

Description
The Simi Valley Public Library offers its patrons of all ages the opportunity for lifelong learning through 28 public access computers, free wi-fi, access to a collection of over 2 million items from over 40 libraries in southern California, many quiet areas ( inside and outside the building), an informative webpage, free public events, and community room available for rent.
