Volunteer Opportunity: Social Media Strategist

Are you a social media whiz with a heart for change? MIHEI is seeking a dedicated volunteer Social Media Strategist to join our team! In this remote role, you'll play a vital part in amplifying our message, raising awareness about critical maternal and infant health issues, and driving support for our mission.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and implement a strategic social media plan to increase brand awareness and engagement across various platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.)
  • Create compelling social media content (text, graphics, videos) that educates the public about maternal and infant health disparities.
  • Manage and schedule social media posts to optimize reach and engagement.
  • Monitor social media conversations, respond to inquiries, and cultivate a positive online community.
  • Track and analyze social media data to measure the success of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends and best practices.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in developing and executing social media strategies.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and editing skills to craft engaging social media content.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.) and their unique audiences.
  • Creativity and a passion for storytelling to connect with our audience on a deeper level.
  • A commitment to MIHEI's mission of improving maternal and infant health equity.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Have an understanding of Nigeria, its policies, and its healthcare system.
  • The ability to work independently but also collaborate effectively with a team.
