A 74-year-old woman with ALS and her husband would love a volunteer to assist them with meal prep (like hotdishes or Crock Pot meals) at their home. They would ideally like someone to help prepare meals once a month for 1-2 hours, and Monday-Friday afternoons work best with their schedule.

If you enjoy cooking and have an extra hour or two each month to help feed a neighbor in need, we'd love to hear from you! This opportunity is part of the ALS Association's Family Assistance Program:

Description

What is ALS?

ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. ALS results in the progressive weakness of voluntary muscles which often leads to total paralysis. There is no known cause or cure for ALS. People with ALS typically live between two and five years after being diagnosed.

How does The ALS Association help?

We fulfill our mission by offering programs, services, and equipment free of charge to anyone affected by ALS residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
