Purpose of the role: We need volunteers to help us document our operational processes on various teams (Marketing, People & culture, Finance, Fundraisin, etc). Documenting these processes will allow future volunteers and emplyees to be onboarded much more quicly, keeping and improving communications, and streamlining productivity.
Necessary Skills:
- Knowledge and experience in BPMN
- Experience in designing/configuring/publishing flowcharts for users, preferred in free tools or some tool company that could give free access to non-profit organizations
- Experience in documentation of process workflow from zero, using web based solutions, clearly and simply, with hyperlinks
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motoivated
Necessary:
-At least 6 hours a week. Some of these hours are in "interview" format with other working teams. Note: Consider that we are looking for volunteers that are available from 9am-7pm CST. Please share your preferred time zone.
Activities:
-CreateASIS/TOBE simple but efficient flow diagrams for all organizational areas, allowing everyone (eve those not knowing BPMN notation) to understand how the area works
-Conduct interviews, organize and write flows and notations working with other volunteers
-We will not be using automation process workflow for some time.

Upwards of 50,000 opportunity youth in Chicago are disconnected from the mainstream (Aspen Community Solutions.org). We inspire young adults to overcome adversity, and empower them to follow their passion into the workforce or entrepreneurship, while focusing on mental health. There’s something special inside of every young adult. Sometimes it just takes a little time to uncover it.
We inspire young adults to tap into their talents through our events, festivals, and collaborative workshops. We then provide coaching & mentorships to help build their mental health and develop their passion in pursuit of a lucrative self rewarding career. We Build Curiosity Through project based learning, young adults dive right in. Their curiosity becomes a light switch that can generate self-motivation and confidence, which are key ingredients to transforming their communities. Our teams are led by passionate professionals, industry leaders, and an outgoing youth advisory board.
