Fête de la Musique is a free, outdoor community music festival to celebrate the summer solstice in the South End neighborhood. The event is held in multiple South End parks, reaching thousands of guests from all over the greater Boston area. Throughout the day, folks of all ages will come to enjoy a wide variety of music, family-friendly activities, and more.

This year's Fête de la Musique will take place on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024, from 2:00 - 5:00 PM, and will be hosted at Union Park and Ringgold Park. We need your help to make this event a success! As the event spans over several hours across several locations, and is open to the public, support from volunteers is critical.
What can you expect from volunteering? Here are some examples of roles:
  • Advancement/Merch table
  • Artist Liaison
  • Emcee
  • People Counter / Park Greeter
  • Programs / Registration table
  • Event Set Up / Break down
We will be in touch about two weeks before the event to share volunteer assignments, but if you have other questions in the meantime, please contact Lexi Feldman, Development & Events Coordinator, at afeldman@cmcb.org.

About COMMUNITY MUSIC CENTER OF BOSTON

Location:

34 WARREN AVE, BOSTON, MA 02116, US

Mission Statement

To transform lives throughout Greater Boston by providing equitable access to excellent music education and arts experiences.

Description

Community Music Center of Boston is far more than a music school. It is a creative hub where people of all ages and abilities share music as common ground, and where diversity, expression and self-transformation are the very air we breathe.

From two settlement schools that provided music instruction to immigrant youth over 100 years ago, we have grown from being a cherished "hidden gem" to emerge as an essential educational and cultural institution serving more than 5,000 individuals each week, studying music ranging from classical to jazz, pop, folk, world and rock.
