Keeping The Good Going
Reaching-Out Community Services operates as a supermarket- style client choice food pantry plus program. Our clients choose thier food items through our Digital Touch Screen Program. It is designed so that our recipients are able to select food items based on their dietary needs.
This program is one-of-a-few in the Brooklyn area. There are several advantages for this type of this food pantry. It is more dignifying for the patrons who come to this program to get help with food. Instead of being handed a bag of random food goods, they are able to shop for themselves and select food, based on their dietary needs. We try to offer a variation of nutritional food items along with fresh fruits & vegetables.
We provide other social needs such as, helping with food stamps, Pa, referrals, etc. Summer tutoring, Free TAx Prep, Mobile Feeding Bus for the Homeless.
