Our Volunteers are an important part of The Earth Prize Ecosystem and play an crucial role in sharing information about the competition with new interested teachers and schools, so more students around the world have access to this opportunity. In an effort to actively increase the geographical reach of our initiative, Volunteers’ outreach activities will focus on their own countries or regions, where their local knowledge and know-how will prove most useful and effective.
Furthermore, volunteers engage in working groups, currently we have 5 different ones to choose from:
Refugee Working Group, Operations, Partnerships, African Continent Working group and the Educational Content working Group - We will tell you more about each group, tasks and mission on our introduction meeting.

The Earth Prize volunteers come from all over the world and we meet every month to support each other, learn and engage. Our community of volunteers work together on a common goal and tasks.
The volunteer task could be:

Research and Data Gathering

Gather and record contact information on local secondary schools (and other non-formal education learning programs and entities) that might be interested in The Earth Prize competition. For this, you will start building a comprehensive database of local schools in your country, region, state or otherwise allocated area, which you can update and build upon throughout the year.

School Outreach

Volunteers leverage their local knowledge of the school system and dynamics, and their cultural understanding, when reaching out to schools. Because of how carefully we craft our communications when sharing The Earth Prize initiative with people, there are specific guidelines you will need to follow.

Competition Data Analysis

Volunteers with strong data analysis skills (or those who would like to develop this type of skill), may also help The Earth Foundation team assessing competition data. This is done to create better opportunities for students who participate in the comepetition.

Support to The Earth Prize Participants

As a Volunteer, you can also support The Earth Prize Participants by sharing your knowledge and experience. We welcome your suggestions to host webinars, Masterclasses or other learning opportunities that can help participants in their idea-development process.

And much more.
We are always interested in new ideas or skills you would like to contribute with and as a volunteers, you are always welcome to bring your ideas to the table.

Come join our inclusive international volunteer community!
