JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Overview

As a Privacy Policy Volunteer, you will join our research team. You will collaborate with the team to analyze, research, and contribute to creating resources on how privacy policies in Canada will change under Bill C-27 and what that will mean for Canadians in the age of AI.

Responsibilities

• Research current and emerging privacy policies and considerations in Canada

• Analyze and synthesize information from various sources to create clear accessible resources

• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and coherence in written content, adhering to the GoodBot voice

• Work closely with the research team, providing regular updates on research progress and participating in team discussions

• Collaborate with other volunteers and team members to ensure a comprehensive report.

Requirements

• Enthusiasm and passion for AI policy, ethics, and responsible technology

• Bachelors or Masters Degree or commensurate experiences and interest in public policy, law, political science, responsible tech, or a related field

• Strong research and analytical skills, with attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong ability to translate complex topics to mainstream audiences

• Familiarity with the Canadian policy landscape and global AI policy is a plus
