Mission Statement

At The Maggie Walker Project, our approach is rooted in our unwavering commitment to amplifying the voices and experiences of Black professionals, executives, and entrepreneurs in the dynamic fields of business and finance. Our mission is to bridge the representation gap, foster diversity, and empower individuals from underrepresented communities to thrive in these industries. We also strive to help through spreading financial literacy and increased access to career-readiness opportunities.

Description

There are many influential Black and Brown pillars in these industries of business and finance. Through interviews and acknowledgment of these people, we will give way for future African Americans to succeed in business and finance and obtain the necessary knowledge to become just as and if not more successful than those preceding them. As we are a youth-led organization, just starting out, many of our volunteers will have the opportunity to gain leadership roles and incredible connections to our business leaders. Take a look at our website to see some of the incredible people we have interviewed and get a closer look at what we do! We hope to see you on the team soon.
