HELP OUT: All-Inclusive Day of Play & Resource Fair

The purpose of this event is to educate the community about resources available to families with children with special needs, to connect with the community, to provide awareness, support and fun for families and kids of all abilities. All the activities and crafts are modified so all children, regardless of limitations, can participate. Booth crafts and activities include Olaf Snowball Toss, Light Saber Creation Station, Olympic Ring Toss, Mini Golf Course, Super Bowl Football Toss, Crown Decorations, Kung Fu Panda Lanterns and more.
The Special Needs Resource Foundation of San Diego needs volunteers to help set up the event, run the craft/activity booths and take down the event. Starting at 7:30am they will need help unloading their truck and setting up the booths. Set up lasts from 8:00am - 11:00am. During the event from 11:00am-2:00pm volunteers will help kids do crafts and activities. From 2:00pm-2:30pm volunteers will load the boxes and items back into the truck.
Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes
Attire: Closed-toe shoes, casual attire. This opportunity takes place indoors.
Bring: Light lunch, snacks, and water will be available for volunteers.
Physical Requirements: Standing for the 3 hour event. Helping kids with activities and crafts. Unloading and loading the event truck requires lifting and carrying boxes. This project is able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations. The space where this project takes place is wheelchair accessible.
Weather: This event will take place indoors so will go on rain or shine.
Photos: A professional photographer will be taking photos at the event. If you do not want your photo taken, they give you a red wristband.

Description
We put on free community events for families with children with special needs. We need volunteers at these events to help us set up, take down and run activity booths during the event. During the event volunteers will help kids do crafts and activities. These events are all inclusive so everyone is welcome to attend. The events are usually 2-3 hours and we have a DJ so they are really fun to help with.
