Position

Working for Parents is looking for a self-motivated and creative Director of Marketing & Public Relations. In this position, you will be in charge of producing high-quality content that engages the community and builds brand recognition.

Your main duties will also include creating informative content, press releases, articles, and media opportunities to share our company’s brand, products, and services. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with brilliant presentation and organizational skills.

• Lead the creation of informative and interesting press releases, press kits, newsletters, and related marketing materials.

• Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build client and community and produce program and brand awareness, and customer satisfaction of our target audience.

• Prepare detailed media activity reports and a marketing and communications schedule.

• Plan and manage the execution and design of content and production of all marketing materials.

• Collaborate with the Communications Manager. Social Media Liaison and Consultant

• Manage projects to guarantee all content is publication-ready.

• Oversee all current and future social media such as: LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, including, managing the website.

• Use platforms such as Mailchimp and Canva to produce and schedule content.

• Respond to communication-related issues and Marketing and PR inquiries in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Proven experience creating targeted content is advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.

• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

This is solely a volunteer opportunity. As the organization grows there will be an opportunity for the Director Of Marketing & Public Relations to receive compensation.
