Recruiting Organization: Envision Healthcare at Home
Hospice Companion Volunteers are responsible for visiting hospice patients in their homes or in skilled nursing facilities to be friendly visitors. Volunteers spend time with hospice patients by reading to them, having conversations with them, playing games, doing simple arts and crafts or watching television or movies with the patient. Volunteers are responsible for taking short notes on each hospice patient visit.
Qualifications are passing a background check (paid for by Envision), getting a TB test (paid for by Envision), completing required training and having a compassionate and patient personality.
Schedule is flexible. Volunteers can visit patients on their own time. Weekdays and weekends available.
