Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media volunteer. This volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to EPI's mission while gaining valuable experience in social media management and content creation.

Job requirements:

  • Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies to enhance EPI's online presence and engagement.
  • Create and curate compelling content for EPI's social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Monitor social media trends and insights to optimize content performance and audience reach.
  • Engage with EPI's online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate social media campaigns and promotions.
  • Conduct research on relevant topics and contribute ideas for content development.
  • Assist in tracking and analyzing social media metrics to measure the impact of EPI's social media efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, or related fields.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Proficiency in using tools like Chat GPT and Canva.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and storytelling.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools and techniques is a plus.

Duration and Schedule: This volunteer opening is a part-time position, requiring approximately 5 hours per week. The duration of the volunteer opening is June 1st - August 15th, with the possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs. The schedule is flexible and can be tailored to accommodate the volunteer's availability.
