The Agricultural Institute of Marin is looking for a volunteer to be a Market Ambassador at the Grand Lake Faremers Market!

General Acvtivities

  • Attend the Farmers Market in person at least twice per month
  • When at market, connect with customers and market participants both formally and informally
  • Contribute to community outreach through word of mouth, phone calls, sharing flyers, providing community newsletter updates, or using any other ways that your community shares information
  • Share community feedback with AIM staff so improvements can be made. 

Prefered Candidates

  • Active in the community
  • Participates in community groups
  • Enjoys sharing new experiences with others
  • Passionate about local agriculture and farmers markets

We are looking for at least a one-year commitment, open to longer. Stipend of $300 for your time.

Description

The Agricultural Institute of Marin is an educational 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in the Bay Area.
AIM has supported farmers and their locally produced foods since 1983.

AIM serves 350+ farmers, food purveyors, and artisans from 40 California counties who participate in AIM’s eight Certified Farmers Markets across the Bay Area. AIM provides hands-on and virtual education and training programs, operates a farm audit program, runs a mobile market for older adults and underserved communities, curates a multi-farm produce box program, and operates CalFresh/EBT and Market Match services.
