SouthernCare Hospice provides care to patients and their families. This volunteer will provide companionship to patients living in Bedford, IN. We provide services to patients in their homes, whether that be a private home or care facility. Volunteers provide companionship and support that can help our families and patients cope with end of life issues. As a SouthernCare volunteer, you would visit a patient and brighten their day. SouthernCare volunteers can participate in activities with our patients such as bingo, crafts, letter writing, reading, playing music, working puzzles, or even painting their finger nails. The options are endless! SouthernCare will train you as a volunteer through reading material and one on one experience. We require a background check, drug screening, and 2 step TB screening.
