Digital Communication Specialist

Join our team as Digital Communication Specialist and use your skills to build an engaging digital marketing content to share ASO’s story of awareness, acceptance, inclusivity, empowerment and support for people with Autism/Asperger’s (ASD-Level1) and their families!


Responsibilities

  • Manage the production of ASO’s monthly newsletter to share information, maintain visibility and gain support for ASO services;
  • Work with the marketing team to determine the newsletter content and create a campaign calendar to manage the digital workflow;
  • Manage ASO MailChimp account, keeping mailing list accurate and up-to-date;
  • Designing graphics for social media campaigns maintaining the tonality of the organisation;
  • Analyze the data of the newsletter performance by using the MailChimp system and make evidence based recommendations to improve the newsletter performance;
  • Meet all print or email blast deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Proven knowledge and experience with MailChimp is a must.
  • Excellent command of English writing, spelling and punctuation, and demonstrated excellence in proofreading, and editing.
  • Ability to utilize strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team and to follow through on tasks.
  • Journalism, marketing, communications, and/or graphic design experience is an asset;
  • Ability to work on graphic design tools and softwares.
  • Education in marketing, PR, Journalism, or a similar field is an asset.

Technology Capabilities Requirement: Remote access ability. You will be required to use your own computer/laptop and will be given access to an ASO Gmail account that you will use to conduct all ASO - related correspondence. You need to be familiar with online web-conferencing tools (e.g., Google Meet).


Time commitment: about 5 hours weekly (remote)


Screening Requirements: Resume, Interview, Reference Check, Content/Campaign Sample


Duration: Ongoing for ideally a minimum of 6 month duration. A reference letter could be provided upon completion of a 6 month commitment.
