### Volunteer Position: Event Assistant for Women In Power - Women in Business Pitch Competition

**Event Date:** June 20th
**Event Time:** 5:30 PM - 9:30 PM
**Location:2821 Park Rd Charlotte

**About the Event:**
Women In Power is excited to host our annual Women in Business Pitch Competition. This event is a unique platform where women entrepreneurs present their innovative business ideas to a panel of esteemed judges. The evening will be filled with networking opportunities, inspiring pitches, and the chance to support the growth of women-led businesses.

Volunteer Role: Greeter, Set up, break down and serving,

Role Overview:
As an Event Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of the event. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event management, support a meaningful cause, and network with professionals in the business community.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Event Setup and Breakdown:** Assist with setting up the venue, including arranging seating, setting up registration tables, and ensuring all materials and equipment are in place. Help with dismantling and cleaning up after the event.
- **Registration and Guest Assistance:** Welcome attendees, manage the registration desk, distribute name badges, and provide information about the event. Assist guests with seating and address any questions or concerns they may have.
- **Support for Participants and Judges:** Help guide participants and judges to their designated areas. Ensure they have all necessary materials and assist with any logistical needs.
- **Timekeeping and Coordination:** Monitor the schedule, ensure pitches run on time, and coordinate with the event coordinator to manage transitions between different segments of the event.
- **Networking Facilitation:** Encourage and facilitate networking among attendees, helping to create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere.
- **General Assistance:** Provide additional support as needed, which may include handling refreshments, managing presentation equipment, and addressing any unexpected issues that arise.

**Skills and Qualifications:**
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude
- Previous event experience is a plus but not required
- Enthusiasm for supporting women in business and entrepreneurship
