Come to Fresno River West to help plant 1,200 Narrow-leaf Milkweed plugs at the E-pond Habitat Enhancement Project!
The Trust recently received restoration-quality milkweed to improve the San Joaquin River Parkway pollinator habitat thanks to Monarch Watch and the NEEF Biodiversity Grant. This is the first of two back-to-back planting events. It's hot! We will be starting earlier to avoid heat stress. Please wear closed-toed shoes and bring sun protection and a reusable water bottle. Water and equipment will be provided. Milkweed is the larval host plant for the iconic Monarch butterfly.
