Volunteering at Blue Summit Hospice and Palliative care will give volunteers the opportunity to make a profound difference in the lives of individuals and families facing end-of-life care. Volunteers will visit patients in their homes or in assisted living facilities and be there to provide companionship, conversation, or emotional support. Volunteers with any skills in music, arts and crafts, entertainment, or education can provide those services to patients as well. No medical care will be administered by volunteers. Volunteers will be expected to make at least one visit per month, but can make as many as they like.
