Pencils For Progress chapters are separate 'sub-organizations' run by P4P Ambassadors, which would be you! These chapters are groups of people who aim to mitigate the educational challenges that they face in their specific community. It can be a school club, a community group, and can range from just your school all the way to being city wide! You get to lead and make an impact where you see fit.

Ambassadors of a chapter are expected to maintain commitment to their initiative. Chapters differ from projects as they are not a one-time impact, but a continual commitment to your program. By starting a chapter, you are creating an initiative that will perpetually create a positive impact in your community.

Mission Statement

Pencils For Progress is a student-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit that aims to mitigate the educational challenges faced in classrooms! By donating supplies and raising funds for teachers and students, we hope to fill both backpacks and hearts every school year.

Description

Pencils For Progress mitigates these challenges by directly working with faculty leaders from different schools to see what is needed, and to coordinate drop off dates to physically be there to meet and provide the materials to the school in person. This really sets Pencils For Progress apart from other organizations like it. Doing this, the organization is able to make a personal connection with the school, its faculty, and its students. It can ensure the delivery of supplies was fulfilled, and it allows the students to see the youth in action, hopefully inspiring young minds to take action themselves. So far P4P has supported 5500+ students, 350+ staff members, and multiple schools! We've even raised over $2,500 dollars, and donated thousands of supplies in just a few months!
