The Chicago Free to Breathe Walk will take Place on Sunday, October 6th, 2024 at the Montrose Harbor. By volunteering at our walk, you are supporting a community committed to raising awareness and funding research to increase lung cancer survival and improve the lives of lung cancer patients.     Experience Tents: Help guide participants into the experience areas, entertain the kids, help LCRF staff at mission area
  • Sun Oct 06, 2024 - morning / 08:00 AM to 10:00 AM CST
    Registration/Check-in: Help check-in walkers, greet them with excitement, congratulate them, hand out t-shirts, collect donations
  • Sun Oct 06, 2024 - morning / 08:30 AM to 11:00 AM CST
    Route/Pep Squad: Stand at start/finish line to cheer on walkers at the start, cheer them on along the walk route and at the finish line
  • Sun Oct 06, 2024 - 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM CST

The mission of the Lung Cancer Research Foundation (LCRF) is to improve lung cancer outcomes by funding research for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of lung cancer.

Description

LCRF is committed to improving lung cancer patients’ quality of life and survival rates through advancing the best new research in the field. To accomplish this, LCRF has begun implementing strategies toward its goals for the next three years.

LCRF intends to have funded a total of $45 million in direct lung cancer research through 444 grants by 2024.
