A 70-year-old woman with ALS would love a volunteer to help her with household chores and/or meal prep. Her schedule is quite flexible any day of the week between 10 am-3 pm. She would ideally like a volunteer who is able to visit weekly for approximately 1-2 hours at a time.

What is ALS?
ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. ALS results in the progressive weakness of voluntary muscles which often leads to total paralysis. There is no known cause or cure for ALS. People with ALS typically live between two and five years after being diagnosed.
How does The ALS Association help?
We fulfill our mission by offering programs, services, and equipment free of charge to anyone affected by ALS residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
