Mothers United and Empowered, Inc., is a 501c3 organization. Our mission is to empower first-time expectant mothers facing homelessness to overcome their circumstances and thrive as parents. Our vision includes establishing a welcoming physical location accommodating 15 women and their babies. We don't have a physical location; however, we are collaborating with community organizations to provide support services to the community. Services will include free workshops on various topics, referrals, biopsychosocial, and counseling services. While we are actively preparing to launch our services, We need volunteers to assist us. We are asking for a commitment of up to 5 hours per month.
We need volunteers to conduct research, identify potential donors, send letters, and follow up. We meet monthly as a team to update each other on our activities. We seek committed volunteers from a variety of backgrounds. We need technologically savvy volunteers to help with our website development. Volunteers can be retirees from any government organization or full-time employees. If you would like to be part of a team whose values are grounded in compassion, empowerment, community, and inclusivity, don't hesitate to contact us!
